Hello! My name is Darcy, and I am from Guatemala. I am currently studying Pedagogy and have experience working with children as an English teacher, which has helped me become very patient, caring, responsible, and creative when working with kids.
I am a very friendly, open-minded, and curious person. I love meeting new people, discovering new places, traveling, and learning about different cultures and ways of life. I am especially interested in Japanese, Korean, Thai, and American culture, and I would love the opportunity to experience everyday life in another country while also sharing my own culture and traditions.
Creativity is a big part of who I am. I love all kinds of art, creative activities, music, swimming, cooking, and trying new things. I enjoy making everyday moments fun, especially with children, whether that means doing arts and crafts, playing games, helping with homework, practicing English, cooking together, or simply spending quality time with them.
I speak English and Spanish fluently, and I feel very comfortable communicating with people from different backgrounds. I am also a confident cook and would be happy to prepare meals, help around the house, and introduce my host family to some Guatemalan dishes.
I would describe myself as warm, adaptable, organized, affectionate, energetic, and easy to get along with. I genuinely enjoy being around children and helping them feel safe, understood, and supported. For me, becoming an au pair is much more than traveling—it is a chance to become part of a new family, create meaningful connections, grow as a person, and make beautiful memories together.
