Introduction
As we say in swahili Habari yako meaning how are you ? ?? I’m very happy to introduce myself to you. I’m a young woman from Kenya, and I would describe myself as friendly, caring, patient, responsible, and someone who is always willing to help.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with children. I’m the kind of person who can sit down and play with them, help them with their homework, listen to their little stories, or come up with something fun for us to do. I’m also quite good academically, so I would be happy to support your children with their schoolwork and educational needs. At the same time, I understand that children also need someone who can simply have fun with them, encourage them, and make them feel comfortable.
Being Kenyan has taught me to be hardworking and supportive. I’m not someone who is afraid of work or helping where I can. If there is something that needs to be done around the house or something I can do to make the parents’ day a little easier, I’m happy to help. I understand that family life can be busy and sometimes parents need an extra pair of hands, not only someone to look after the children.
I’m a quick learner and very adaptable. I know that every family has its own routines, way of communicating, and way of doing things, and I’m willing to learn and fit into your family respectfully. I also understand that becoming an au pair means being trusted with something very important your children and I would take that responsibility seriously.
I would love to share a little bit of Kenya with you too — our culture, food, stories, humour and, of course, some Swahili! I’m also excited to learn about your culture and everyday life, improve my language skills, and experience life in a new environment.
Most importantly, I’m hoping to find a family where we can genuinely get along. I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but I believe that good communication, respect, kindness and a willingness to understand each other can make the experience really special.
I hope to meet a family that will welcome me not just as an au pair, but as someone who can become a trusted and helpful part of the family.
I’m looking forward to getting to know you ??
