Hello, dear host family!

My name is Moreen. I am a trained midwife from Uganda and I am currently upgrading my qualification. I am a warm, responsible, patient and adaptable person who genuinely enjoys caring for people and being part of a family.

My professional background has given me experience caring for newborns, babies, children, mothers and adults. I am comfortable with childcare, newborn care, preparing simple meals, keeping children engaged and safe, helping with routines, accompanying them to activities and giving attentive care when they are unwell. I also have experience with elderly and private care, so I am comfortable supporting people who need patience, companionship and practical help.

I would be happy to help with childcare, newborn care, nanny duties, elderly care, light household tasks and other reasonable responsibilities that help the household run smoothly. I am also comfortable around pets and willing to learn each family's routines and preferences.

I am interested in experiencing another culture, learning a new language and becoming part of a family, rather than seeing this only as a job. I enjoy learning, exploring new environments and adapting respectfully to different ways of life. I would also be happy to share my Ugandan culture, food, traditions and everyday life with my host family.

I believe children need more than supervision. They need patience, kindness, consistency and someone who genuinely pays attention to them. My midwifery background has taught me to remain calm, responsible and observant, especially when caring for vulnerable people. I understand the importance of safety, hygiene, boundaries and following parents' instructions.

I am currently studying, but I am also very interested in getting to know a potential host family and building a good connection early. I believe the best experiences come when both sides have time to communicate, understand each other's expectations and become comfortable with one another. I would love to learn about your family, your daily routine and what you are looking for, while also giving you the opportunity to know me better. This would help us plan everything properly and make the transition easier when the right time comes.
