Introduction
Hello, dear Host Family! My name is Angela, and I am from the Philippines. I am very excited about the opportunity to introduce myself to you and hopefully become a part of your family as an au pair. I would describe myself as a caring, patient, responsible, friendly, and hardworking person. I may be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but once I become comfortable, I am easy to talk to and enjoy having meaningful conversations and spending time with others.
I have always enjoyed being around children because I find them fun, curious, and full of energy. I would be happy to spend time with your children, play with them, help them with their daily activities, read with them, and support them in learning new things. I understand that every child has a different personality and needs, so I am willing to be patient, understanding, and attentive to them. I also believe that children need someone who will listen to them, encourage them, and make them feel safe and cared for.
I am interested in becoming an au pair because I see it as an opportunity to grow both personally and emotionally. I would love to experience everyday life in another country, learn about a different culture and family lifestyle, and meet people from a different background. At the same time, I would be very happy to share my Filipino culture, traditions, food, and experiences with your family. I believe cultural exchange is one of the most meaningful parts of being an au pair because both the host family and the au pair can learn from each other.
I am also hoping to improve my communication and language skills through this experience. I enjoy learning new words and having conversations in English, and I would love to become more confident in communicating with people from different backgrounds. I am open-minded and willing to learn from my host family, especially about your language, traditions, customs, and way of life.
As an au pair, I understand that being responsible is very important. I am willing to help with the children's daily routines and with reasonable household tasks related to their care. I will do my best to follow your family's rules, respect your home and privacy, and communicate openly whenever there is something I need to understand. I believe that trust, respect, patience, and good communication are important in creating a comfortable relationship between an au pair and a host family.
Outside of childcare, I enjoy writing, listening to music, learning new things, and spending time with people I care about. I also enjoy simple activities such as watching movies, talking with friends, exploring new places, and trying new experiences. I would be happy to discover the hobbies and activities your family enjoys and hopefully participate in them when possible.
One of the things I am most excited about is becoming part of your family's everyday life. I would love to share meals, conversations, celebrations, and simple moments together. I understand that moving into another family's home is a big responsibility, and I will do my best to be respectful, helpful, and considerate. I hope that over time, we can build a relationship where we feel comfortable communicating with each other and where I can become someone your family can trust.
I also understand that being away from home and adapting to a new environment can be challenging. However, I am ready to step outside my comfort zone, learn from new experiences, and become more independent. I am willing to listen, learn from mistakes, and adjust to your family's routines and expectations.
Most importantly, I hope to create happy and meaningful memories with your family. I want this experience to be more than simply living in another country—I want to learn, grow, help your family, and build genuine connections. I would be very grateful for the opportunity to care for your children and experience your family's culture and way of life.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my introduction. I hope this message gives you a little idea of who I am. I would be very happy to get to know your family, learn more about your children and your daily life, and hopefully become a positive and caring addition to your home. I look forward to meeting you and starting this wonderful journey together! ??
Warm regards,
Your future au pair??
