Dear Host Family,

My name is Moriah, and I am from the Philippines. I am excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and hopefully become a trusted and caring part of your family. I would love to learn more about your family, your children, and your daily routines, and I hope you will consider me as your future au pair.

I have experience assisting and guiding young people through church activities, where I helped support them during a week of activities. I also serve as a Young Women Advisor at church, which has helped me develop patience, responsibility, compassion, and the ability to communicate with and guide younger individuals. These experiences have taught me the importance of being understanding, attentive, and supportive, especially when working with children and young people.

Aside from that, I have a background in Public Administration and experience in administrative assistance, travel planning, and customer service. These roles have helped me become organized, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable handling responsibilities. I believe these skills would also be valuable in helping with children’s routines, organizing their activities, keeping things in order, and providing reliable support to your household within the agreed au pair responsibilities.

As a person, I would describe myself as caring, respectful, patient, and willing to learn. I understand that every family has its own values, routines, and parenting style, and I would make an effort to respect and adapt to yours. I am also open to learning new things, embracing a different culture, and building a positive relationship with your family. For me, being an au pair is not just about traveling abroad; it is also about cultural exchange, personal growth, and creating a meaningful connection with a host family.

I am particularly interested in an opportunity in the United States where I can contribute to a family’s everyday life while learning about American culture. As an applicant from the Philippines, I would also appreciate a family that is open to discussing the appropriate au pair program, visa requirements, and sponsorship process with a designated sponsor agency.
