To the future host family,

Hello and warm greetings! I'm Josephine Zoe and I'm a recent college graduate. I've finished my University days and am now really excited to be on a fulfilling gap year as an Au Pair. I am seeking a great host family to connect, support and become a trustworthy part of their lives and of their daily activities.

Who I am and my background.

I'd say that I'm a outgoing, responsible, patient and open-minded person naturally. My attitude towards life is positive and when it comes to new experiences, new traditions and new surroundings, am very flexible. I have recently just completed college and am a fully grown, independent and ready to take on the roles of a great caregiver. I see this year of au pairing as a beautiful experience of cultural exchange, both ways; I share my culture and get to experience yours as well.

With my hands-on child care experience

I have not yet had official "Au Pair" experience, but I have a tremendous amount of practical, hands-on experience caring for children in my own family. For several years I have watched over my two younger cousins as well as my nephew from the time they were born until they were toddlers and young school age children.
Being a nurse to my nephew and cousins as they grew up from babyhood has made me realize the necessity of being patient, alert and having great responsibility. I know and am at ease with the basic activities of infant and toddler care such as preparing bottles, feeding, changing diapers, dressing and managing safe nap schedules. As they began to be active toddlers, I was learning how to manage my active children safely and entertained and happy in everyday life. My cousins were later to emigrate to Australia and the strong relationship I had established with them and my nephew drew from my innate desire to work with children.

Hobbies, interests, and daily life.

Very active and enjoys going out for walks, hiking, and taking scenic routes. I love sports and nature, so it's easy for me to keep up with high energy children. I enjoy planning fun outdoor activities, outings to the park and ways to keep kids entertained that don't involve the screen.
Oh, and I enjoy being in the kitchen. I love to cook, I'm an organized and neat person. I am excited to cook traditional home cooked meals for your family, help with light tasks around the house or take care of your pets and also learn to make your favorite local recipes.

My intentions and future plans

This au pair experience is intentional to improve myself personally and professionally. I am excited about living abroad, getting out of my comfort zone and learning your language slowly and with dedication, day by day. Once I have finished my Au Pair term I will be going home to start my career. I think the experiences of independence, communication, and adaptability I will gain this year will be extremely beneficial to my future career plans.
